I'm not a huge fan of the wall decal but I've just seen these by Harmonie Interieure over at Decor8 and they look pretty good. As long as you can get round the fact that they are other people's memories you are pasting on your wall, that is.
Not to be outdone by Hadid across town, Tom Dixon has designed the inside of the Paramount Bar in the new private members' club at Centre Point. A blend of 60's retro and futurism.
Architect Zaha Hadid used to complain that she couldn't get commissions in the UK. Now her work seems to be popping up everywhere. Check out the new bar at Home House. If something looks like it's from the future does that mean it's good design?
I have an older brother so James Bond has always been a big deal in my family. Quantum of Solace looks particularly good. Read an interesting article in the Financial Times on the movie's set/interior design here. What a great job that would be.
I love looking at where people work and the things they surround themselves with. Above is interior designer Isle Crawford's studio. Note the emerald green leather Smythson notebooks. See below for work spaces belonging to Diane Von Furstenburg, Grace Coddington and Stella McCartney.
Vera Wang - she of wedding dress fame - has designed a new informal tableware collection for Wedgewood. In three coordinating colourways - 'leaf' (pictured), 'chalk' and 'graphite' - the collection features lovely organic shapes
and unfinished-edge detail.
